Stefan Fähler, Berlin based artist and founding member of the experimental rock band Château Laut, is spending a month in Sydney to create and collaborate, culminating in an exhibition of new and past artworks.
Throughout the last 3 years he designed gigposters for acts like Ariel Pink, Aids Wolf, Damo Suzuki, Liturgy and Shonen Knife, to name a few. Poster art, screen prints and the premier of his latest film, a concert movie with Damo Suzuki, will be exhibited at ESP Gallery/Marrickville.
Whilst in Sydney, Stefan will be collaborating with revered local photographer Kurt Sorensen on a series of works.
Stefan is supported by Marrickville Council Artist in Residence program.
This is another Rainer Elstermann collab, taken from his photo series called "Old Masters", based on recreating classic art staples, replacing the originals models with children. This one here is originally by Rubens.
